The confused people, those who don’t know what next to do, due to poverty, those at their cross road, the jobless, the isolated and all those in fear of their tomorrows are in daily thoughts and plans of Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre, while their welfare is the steady burden of Cowom in order to help them.

  • Pleasing God Always:

Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre has no other business than to please God and to do that which the almighty God commanded the Cowom to do and to go where God directs the organization to go. Cowom vows not to offend God, nor to displease the  almighty but to obey Him and to live for Him.

  • Clothing the Naked:

To raise up the poor from the dust, to clothe the  naked and to clear tears out from the eyes of all those that weep often and all those that live in sorrow, in dust and those poor naked people that lack what to eat, what to drink and clothes to wear. Cowom is called and created to help them and to make them happy.

  • Making the Mourners to Smile:

The helpless people, the isolated people, the despised people and all those poor and misfortune people that live in sorrows, in mourning and in weeping due to their frequent life of pains and tears are the major focus of Cowom who also are the beneficiaries of the Cowom blessings and shall continue to be the beneficiaries.

  • Making the Misfortunes Become whom God Originally Created them to Become.

God did not create anyone to be poor, be sick, be begging, be useless or be misfortune, but the devil or one earthly thing or the other must have been the cause of such ugly conditions and experiences. Cowom is called to make such misfortune people to become what God has in mind when he created them. This is done by sponsoring and empowering them to be busy and to be diligent in order to be rich and be successful in life.

  • Restore the Senses of the Helpless:

One of our major targets is to restore the senses, feelings and the reasoning of the oppressed, the sick, the poor and the senses of the helpless and hopeless people to be normal and to be calmed in order to hear from God and to live for God. This is done by Cowom through special helps and assistances to the victims.

  • Empower the Needy:

Our target, focus and mandate from the almighty God is to empower the widows, the poor, the needy, the hopeless people and the isolated ones in order to keep them busy, establish them and to make them be more useful, diligent and productive. This is done by giving them cash to start businesses.

  • Create Business Oriented and Zealous Individuals:

To create business oriented people, zealous men and women, craft motivated people, diligent men and women, independent workers and self employed citizens is our vision on these men and women who were sometimes regarded as poor men and women, as idle men and women, as beggars and as helpless individuals in our land. This is only achieved by supporting and sponsoring them.

  • Restore Good Health to the Sick:

Our zeal and business include visiting  the hospitals, encouraging the sick, paying the medical bills of the poor citizens in the hospitals who cannot afford nor can pay their hospital or medical bills in order to assure their good health, sound reasoning and strong activities as healthy people who were totally discharged from the hospital beds, from sick bed, from death and from fear and sorrow of poverty.

  • Make the less Privileged to be More Privileged:

It is our vision, mission and action to make the less privileged people to compete with the more privileged people after our empowerment to the less privileged people in order to trade, sell, work and to be involved in the meaningful business of their choice which shall make them eat very well, live very well, dress very well, speak very well and act very well. This is only actualized through proper empowerment.

  • Make the less Regarded Persons to Live:

Our supreme task, mission and mandate include total application to make the less regarded persons, the isolated persons, the despised people, misfortune people, the poor people and all those at the lowest standards whose presence worth nothing before their neighbours, before their relations, to live, to survive, to be sustained and to be changed from such bad and ugly conditions. This is done by total rehabilitations, total treatment, total caring and total sponsorship, empowerment, and to caring to make them to live and to be successful.

  • To Know Jesus:

The spiritual aspect of our business is to make the victims to know Jesus, to accept Jesus, to believe Jesus, to follow Jesus and to believe the gospel of our Lord Jesus that leads to salvation. This means a total Christianization of the victims who never believed the gospel and to teach them the Bible that shall expose them to salvation.

  • Bring Them to the True Faith in Christ:

It is our steady desire to help the victims to be saved, to follow Jesus and to follow Jesus examples, to know the true and only one God to obey the Bible, to live for Christ, to confess Christ and to represent Jesus and to know the truth that leads total freedom and to the salvation of the sinner.

  • Total Liberation:

It is a task, mandate and obligation for us to lead our clients, the victims, the poor, the less privileged, the worthless people, despised people, helpless people and all the isolated people to total liberation including spiritual and social librations. They are all libration from sin, from curses, from demonic bondages, from poverty, from fears, from abuses of men, from all forms of worthlessness before men and from general pains.

  • Establish Self-worth’s in men:

One of the languages of poverty, victimization and the languages of misfortune is “I AM NOTHING” Ï AM NOBODY” and “I CAN DO NOTHING” Having known these, one of our strongest weapons is to restore confidence, restore feelings and to establish self-worth in the heart, soul, spirit, life and  mind of the person under such captivity and to make them feel free in order to understand his worth before God, God’s evaluation and God’s estimation of the person .

  • Self Dependent and Self Reliant:

It is our plan, view and goal to make all our clients who are the poor, weak, the sick, the helpless, less privileged and all the poor people who depended and relied on what others shall give them before they shall eat and drink, to be free, self dependent, self reliant and self freedom from depending on others. We make them to be productive, fruitful and self confident after being empowered and supported by Cowom.

  • Create Vision in Clients:

Our goal is to impart on those that we help with positive ideas, with positive influence, with workable vision that shall make them to survive, to live, to stand and to score their life goals. We create vision into the lives and hearts of the discouraged, the weak, poor and the less privileged people which makes them to be reasonable, business oriented, zealous for good works, diligent in every undertaking and fruitful in every business, after empowering them, helping them and after sponsoring them.

  • Changing Poverty to Prosperity:

Our empowerment and sponsorship programs to the poor yield positive fruits of making their lives of poverty to change to prosperity and their downtrodden situations to upliftment situations, while their tears change to cheers. These are the products of selfless and liberal services of Cowom to the poor citizens that made them to be later rich after positive utilization of the amount given to them.

  • Achieving Sound Health:

Our prayers, works, plans, efforts and our missions are to achieve sound health and bright activities of the sick, the accident victims and the hospitalized people who have no money to pay for their treatments. We pay the total bills of such people and often pray for their good health, sound health and strong health as well in order to become healthy which is the will of God concerning them.

  • Achieving Sound Life:

Our prayers, works, plans, missions, ministries and efforts are to help the victims, the poor, the helpless and the less privileged people to actualize and to achieve sound life and good life that shall accompany boldness and full assurances. It is our mission and vision to clear the medical bills and other treatments of the poor, the oppressed and the helpless that shall assure them of good health and sound life of positive activities.

  • Achieving Sound Reasoning:

What brings sound reasoning is sound mind and sound health that came as a result of freedom. Our target is to achieve total man of man and the very man in man that shall produce sound and clean reasoning. Our sponsorship to the stranded and less regarded people whose minds are weakened and derailed leading to negative thoughts and to deadly reasoning, but our touch and help to such people coupled with our Biblical instructions lead such people to sound reasoning and sound imaginations.

  • Make the Male Victims Become Fathers:

Most of the poor, less regarded people, less privileged people, the isolated and the helpless people have no house, no wife, no children and no base also, due to their higher level of poverty, hunger and higher level of inferiority that hindered their marriages and cause them to feel unworthy that lingered their long bachelorhood in poverty. Our contacts and help to this class of people lead them to positive steps, marriages that resulted to become fathers of children and husbands of wives beyond their expectation.

  • Make the Female Victims become Mothers:

Most of the poor isolated ladies and less privilege ladies, the helpless ladies, the inferior ladies and less regarded female citizens are not married due to self despisement, inferiority complex, self condemnation and self pity which led them to dress casually, dress poorly, dress beggarly, dress dirty and appear worthlessly in public and in private places due to their poor conditions they see themselves resulting to their non regardedness, worthlessness, permanent spinsterhood and total failure in all their pursuits, but our touch, sponsorship, helps, supports, empowerments and Biblical indoctrination on self worth cleared them from all inferiority complex and all low estimate of  self but lead them to better dressing, fine attires, good public appearances that projected good and  worthy before men, that most of them are now wives and mothers to children. This is the Lords doing.

  • Worship the Only True God:

Our most important focus on the poor, the weak, the orphans, abandoned babies and the less privileged citizens is to make them “to know Jesus and to make Him known” which is summarized in worshipping the true God who created the heavens and the earth. It is a great task for us to help all that come around us to worship the true God.

  • Make all be Diligent:

 While we support, assist, empower and help the poor, the less privileged, helpless and the sick, we also make them and lead them to be diligent, self supportive and wise in order to control the businesses of their choice. As a result of our help and encouragement to them. We also teach them all business ethics, vision and diligence that shall make them real and face their tomorrow.

  • Comfort Those That Mourn:

Poverty, cashlessness, sickness, disregardedness, isolation, accidents, misfortunes and other painful conditions produce mourning, mental distress, anger, discomfort, uneasiness, anxiety, peacelessness, sleeplessness and other sicknesses or body distresses, but our mission to such people produce peace, healing, deliverance, freedom, relaxation COMFORT , hope, faith and  good health to the former victims, because our empowerment to such people change their situation and their conditions.

  • Make them Productive:

Our supreme target on the empowered and helped poor people, sick people, less privileged people, the orphans, abandoned children, motherless and fatherless children and others with such incapacitations is to make them be highly productive, greatly fruitful, socially reasonable and practically diligent with visible evidences of feeding well, living well, dressing well, appearing well and  reasoning well. We teach them to be busy, diligent, visionary and totally productive.

  • Help Them Become Good Citizens:

We are deeply involved in making the victims to be sound in reasoning, in action and in all businesses. We plant moral influence in them that make them and compel them to be good citizens, law abiding citizens and good people of God, of the church and of the society.

  • Building Confidence:

Total restoration involves physical healing social healing, spiritual healing, psychological healing and mental healing that shall bring the man to whom God created him to become, where God called him to stay and what God called him to do, coupled with how God wants him to appear which shall result to man’s wholeness producing great confidence, therefore our empowerment to man generates self confidence and wholesomeness.

  • Open Relationship and Association With Others:

Empowerment and restoration of Cowom brings man to freedom from inferiority complex, freedom from fear, freedom from self bondage, freedom from pains of poverty and effects of hunger and hardship that took man to exile of loneliness, isolation and self separation, but our help and empowerment to man shall restore man and fix him to association with great people and deep relationship with those that matter.

  • Prayers and Bible Studies:

It is our great joy and happiness to lead all former victims to true devotional life involving prayers, praises and deep Bible studies and these shall stand as our great achievement that connects the former victims with his creator.

  • Fellowship with the brethren, the Body of Christ:

Our undeniable vision and unshifted focus is to bring all we are helping to the true knowledge of God, true faith that accompany righteousness, faithfulness and steady fellowship with the people of God, to avoid the attacks and tricks of  Satan. There is a need for every believer to belong to a real place of worship and fellowship centre where he hears the word of God.

  • Make man be Reasonable:

One of our unforgettable focus, targets and mandates is making man to be reasonable, sensible, dutiful, diligent and to understand his obligations, mandatory services and  to occupy his positions in his family, in his church, in his community, in the society and in the government and  to be useful to his generation with unmeltable footprints. These are the dividends of our empowerment to him.

THE SCRIPTURAL PERSUATION OF OUR VISION AND MISSION

What do we mean by the scriptural persuasion of our vision and mission? This simply refers to why we are doing what we are doing and how our vision conviction, mission and action come from the scriptures, the word of God. We are doing all we are doing because they are scriptural based, they are instructions and persuasions from God who mandated us, directed us, persuaded us and guided us for humanitarian services. Below are God’s instruction in each of the works we do and all the service we render.

  1. Helping and supporting the widows, orphans and the fatherless is laying treasure in heaven and working for almighty God. Mtt. 6: 20,21. But lay up for yourself treasures in heaven, where neither moth, nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through, nor steal, for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
  1. The survival and caring for the widows, for the orphans and for the fatherless are the burdens God wants us to carry. Jas. 1:27.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their afflictions and to keep himself unspotted from the world. (visiting the widows and orphans).

  1. The oppressions, sufferings, depression, cheating, persecutions, hatred and hunger that face the orphans demand great attention of the good spirited individuals in our society as the lamentations and tears of the orphans call for the rescue of our people. Lam. 5:1-5.

Remember oh lord, what is come upon us (the orphans), consider and behold our reproach, our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens, We are ORPHANS and fatherless, our mothers are widows, we have drunken our water for money, our woods is sold unto us (we are oppressed), We labour and have no rest.

  1. The groaning, sorrows, tears, discouragements, shame, tension and confusions that face the fatherless students who were thrown out of their various schools and different places of their studies due to lack of cash to pay their tuition fees and scarcity of fund to continue their studies, who are now stranded that demand the attention, support and sponsorship of all of us as God attached much importance to them. Exo. 22: 22-24, Jas. 1:27, Ps. 146:9:

Ye shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child, if thou afflict them in any wise and they cry unto me, I shall surely hear their cry and mu wrath shall wax hot and I will kill you with sword and your wives shall become widows and your children become fatherless. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this, To visit the fatherless and the widows in their afflictions. The Lord preserveth the strangers, he relieveth the fatherless and the widows, but the way of the wicked, he turned upside down.

  1. The issues of the motherless babies and all those children whose mothers died while they were babies, infants and thiose whose mothers died while on labour in the hospitals must be issues of great concern to good citizens, to churches and to all who have the visions to make these children useful, good, alive and to make such children to survive and to become what God created them to become and the purpose of their becoming alive while their mothers died. God urges all of us to care for them, build them and to help them survive and also be sustained because they are poor and helpless. Mk. 6:37, Mk. 10:21:  And He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat, and  they said unto Him, shall we go and buy two hundred worth of bread and give them to eat? And Jesus beholding  him and loved him and said unto him, one thing thou lackest, go thy way sell whatever thou hast and give to the poor and  thou shalt have treasure in heaven and come and take up the cross and follow me.

  1. The case of the abandoned children or the issue of the rejected babies is the great touching story, the matter that demands prayers, caring, supporting and general sympathy of every good spirited individual who values the life of man and the success of those created by God but abandoned by man. These are children whom Jesus instructed us to care for, attend to and help to survive and be sustained. Matt. 25:34-40:

Then, shall the king say unto them on the right side come ye blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the  world, for I was hungry you gave me food, was thirsty you gave me drink, and was a stranger you took me in and was naked and you clothed me, and was sick and you visited me and was in prison and ye came unto me, then shall the righteous say unto him, Lord when saw we thee hungry and fed thee or the thirsty and gave thee drink, when saw we thee a stranger and took thee in or naked and clothed thee or saw thee sick and in prison and came unto thee? And the king shall say unto them, verily I say unto thee, in as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.

  1. God urges all good spirited citizens to care, help and to protect the senseless children, the unreasonable children and the children born with one bad infirmity or the other who are also among the creatures and heritage of God almighty who are counted as blessings to the family that born them, we must care for them as God instructed all of us. Ps. 127:3, Mtt. 18:3-6:

Lo, children are the heritage of the lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward. And Jesus called a little child and set him in the  midst of them, And Jesus said, verily I say unto you, except ye be converted and become like the little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven, whosoever therefore shall humble himself like this little child, the same is the greatest in the  kingdom of heaven and  whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believeth in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and that he were drowned in the dept of the sea.

  1. The unfortunate and painful conditions of the deformed children are issues of great concern to every faithful child of God and heart touching conditions that demand the attention, affection and sympathy of all healthy and sound reasoning citizens. These deformed children who are the lame, crippled, the one eyed, blind, deaf or dumb children who need our help, prayers and supports in order to make them useful, reasonable and be survived and become good citizens in our land. Hear the scriptures about such. Prov. 17:5-6, Prov. 29:15;

Whosoever mocketh the poor reproacheth his maker, and he that is glad at the calamities of the poor shall not be unpunished, children’s children are the crown of the old menm and the glory of children are their fathers Deut. 15:11, for the poor shall never case out of the land, therefore, I command you saying, thou shalt open thine hand wide unto they poor brother, to thy poor and to thy needy in thy land.

  1. The conditions of sick children, epileptic children, disorganized children and those children born with psychiatric syndromes, including all sick children that were born with one deformity or the others such as dumbness, blindness and other hard conditions affecting the infants especially the orphans, the fatherless and the sick children with poor and helpless parents, whose cases become very chronic that really need the sympathy, prayers, helps, supports and the donations of all good citizens as God’s own people according to the scriptures Jesus method of healing the sick was by laying of hands but today He does the same even in the hospital beds through brethren and through your contributions. These children’s case is where sowing and planting required in our gospel ministries. Eccl. 11:1-2;

Cast thy bread upon the waters, for thou shalt find it after many days, give a portion to seven and also to eight for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth. Eccl. 11:4-6. He that  observeth the wind shall not sow and he that regardeth the cloud shall not reap. As thou knoweth not what is the ways of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child, even so, thou knowest not the works of God that maketh all. In the morning sow thy seed and in the evening withhold not thy, for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that or whether both of them shall be alike good, therefore sow your seed (Give your help and supports).

  1. The conditions, pains and the helplessness of the wandering children, uncultured children, untrained children, road side children and the children of mad women who never received any fair treatment, domestic training nor any formal education greatly constituted the greater dangers of the social evil, criminal activities in our cities, murderous activities, drunkenness, hard drug addict and other harmful stories we hear today, but these children can be rescued, helped and tamed if handled early, trained and helped with a focus of making them be useful and reasonable. Prov. 22:6, Prov. 23:13, Prov. 29: 15, Prov. 23: 24;

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Withhold not correction from a child, for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. The rod and the reproof give wisdom but a child left to himself (without teaching) beingeth shame to his mother. The father of the righteous child shall greatly rejoice and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.

  1. The matters and sorrowful conditions of all the misfortune children, the less privileged children and the stranded children and all neglected children due to one visible matter or the other, can be traced to bad family foundation, genetic matters or curses inherited either from the land, from ancestors or from parental lineages that all resulted to such chronic and evil conditions affecting the  children of such linage or kindred which manifest in great sufferings, painful conditions, helpless conditions, hatred from others, great lack and backwardness in everything which seriously call for the helps, supports and the  urgent attention to such children, remembering that these are  the children that Jesus invited to come to Him and the real children Jesus is still searching for. Matt. 19:13-15, Gen. 42: 22.

Then were there brought unto Him little children, that He should put His hand on them and pray, and the  disciples rebuked them, and Jesus said unto them suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom  of heaven and he laid hands on them and departed thence.

  1. The unfinished duties, untouched ministries, unreached assignments and unseen duties of the people of God today is their steady silence and ignorance of the pains and tears of the disabled children in our society. The shyness, fear, inferiority complex and self pity that crowded the lives, habits, feelings and the activities of the disabled children whose lives are characterized with sad stories and painful expressions, need our attention and our supports among whom God frequently urges us to help, to support and care for without stinginess and without double mindedness in our  hearts. Co. 3:23-24, Deut. 16:17:

And whatever ye do, do it heartily (free giving) as unto the Lord and not unto men (the needy), but as done to God, knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance for ye  serve the Lord Jesus Christ. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessings of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.

  1. The negligence of the Christians and the entire church world over the roaming children in the villages and in many rural communities is very dangerous to the future survival of the church. Such roaming children are fatherless, motherless, orphans cared by aged grand parents, children of harlots, children of madmen and mad women and children of the careless drunkard fathers who shall later become criminals, thieves, kidnappers, armed robbers and irresponsible drunkards if the believers in Christ do nothing about such growing evil habits in the rural areas and if the negligence continues will lead to the  greater increase of crimes in future. We therefore call on gospel ministers, churches and all good citizens to support, contribute and help in catching these roaming children for Christ and for the gospel. Therefore lets give support and assist for the total rescue of these roaming children. 2Cor. 9:6-8:

But this I say, but he which soweth sparingly shall also reap sparingly and he which soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully every man according as he prospereth in his heart so let him GIVE and not grudgingly or of or of necessity for God loveth a cheerful GIVER and God is able to make all grace abound towards you that you always having all sufficiency in all things may abound in every good work.

  1. The necessity of children ministries in order to win, catch, convert and to bring the  uncultured, possessed, demonized or bedeviled as children that have filled our lands, towns, urbans and rural villages demand greater attention of the church, the gospel ministers and the believers at large. These children neither go to churches, nor go to schools but early converted to smoking, drinking, stealing, fighting and destruction, at their age of eight, ten and twelve who need God’s arrest  through the church. There is need for urgent and lively children ministry, children mission and children focused organization to catch these children for Christ, thus, sponsorship of the Christ-hearted individuals are needed. LK. 9:13. LK. 6:30;

And Jesus said unto his disciples, give them to eat; Give every needy that request from you and whoever asketh of your goods never demand such back from the needy. This group of rough children need helps, caring, teaching, Bibles and the truth in their lives.

  1. Presently over 25% of the adults we meet or see on the roads, along the street, on our way and way out are partially psychiatric, mentally disturbed, confused, stranded, absent minded, in great tension, disorganized and at times in lost of memories, why? Because of hunger, poverty, homelessness, applicantship, loss of capital, idleness and many other financial, social, material, domestic and psychological needs that have put such people in daily partial madness while some because of such situations are fully mad, naked and wholly lost in the dark realm of total madness, some have even died and buried, while others became useless till date. Shall we allow such people to continue in such ugly condition? Should such people be allowed to die in such painful conditions? Can such people be restored, renewed and be revived if comforted, cared for and helped? This is the  business which God committed in our hands to do, therefore join hands with us to save lives, save souls and save men. What did God say about such conditions? Deut. 15: 7-8, Prov. 19:17, Jas. 1:27;

If there be among you a poor man of one of your brethren, within any of your gates in the land which the lord thy God giveth you, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother, But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him and must surely lend sufficiently for his needs in that which he wanted. He that  hath pity on the poor lent to the Lord and that which he hath given shalt the Lord pay him back again. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this, to visit the fatherless and the widows in their afflictions.

  1. The conditions of the beggars in our streets and major roads is alarming and also painful. Today we see fathers, mothers, infants and other underaged children of three, four, five and six years old children, begging along our roads and along our streets. It is now noted that these men and women and all the parents of these children have no jobs, no houses, no food and no helper, that is the  reason such people resolved to beg and after begging, in the night they sleep under the flyover while some of them that have houses have no business and no hope. These people and the very parents of these little children are too poor, hopeless, helpless, baseless, stranded and hungry who really need the help, support and assistance of good spirited citizens according to God’s order and instruction. Prov. 21:13, 2Cor. 9:6-7; Whosoever stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he shall also cry for himself but shall not be heart also. But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall also reap sparingly and he which soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully, Everyman according as he prospereth, in his heart so let him give not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loveth a cheerful giver.

  1. Faith, faithfulness and true fellowship demand giving, caring and helping the widows, the orphans, the abandoned children, the poor, the helpless citizens and all that are under the torture of hunger, hardship, sickness and those in great tension due to hunger and server poverty that have not allowed them to rise up to reason properly and to act positively, But what did God say about these people and why do we pay attention to these people? Hear God’s words 1Jn. 3:17-19, Deut. 15:11;

But whosoever hath this world’s good and seeth his brother hath needs and shuteth his bowels of compassion from him, how then dwelth the love of God in him. My little children let us not love in WORDs, neither in tongue but indeed and in truth, and hereby we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before him. For the poor shall never cease out of the land, therefore I command thee, saying, thou shalt open thy hands wide unto thy poor brother, to thy poor brother and to thy needy in they land.

  1. The pains, frustrations and confusions within the camps and hearts of the accident victims, hospitalized citizens and the poor sick people who have no money to care for themselves are painfully alarming and disturbing which we shall never neglect because God commanded us to care for them to help them and to assist them to survive, to live and to act like their good Samaritans Lk. 10:30-36;

And Jesus answered and said, a certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves which stripped him of his raiment and wounded him and departed, leaving him half dead. Any by chance there came a certain priest that way, and when he saw the wounded man, passed on the other side, likewise a levite when he saw the wounded man also passed by the other side, but a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came where the man was, and  when he saw him, he had compassion on him, and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring oil and wine, and set him on his own beast and brought him to an Inn and took care of him and the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence and gave them to the host and said unto them, whatever thou spendeth more, when I came again, I will repay thee. Thinkest thou was a neighbor unto the wounded man that fell among the thieves? And they said, he that showeth mercy unto the man, And Jesus said Go and do thou like wise to others.

  1. The present less concern of this generation to the blind people, the cripple, the lame and the disabled including all deformed citizens is of great provocation to the Lord and the host of heaven, still to care and to help them is among the duties assigned to the body of Christ and to individual Christians. We are also called to continue the works of the certain Samaritan who cared for the wounded traveler who fell among the thieves. God is not silent about the sad conditions of these citizens, nor did God at all neglected them, but HE rather assigned us to help, care and to comfort them in their painful conditions. Giving to this class of people means sowing in the fertile land of God, it is a great sowing. Eccl. 11:6, Mtt. 5:42, Rom. 12:10;

In the morning sow thy seed, in the evening withhold not thy hand for thou knowest not, whether shall prosper, either this or that or whether they both shall be alike good. Give to him that asketh thee and from whom that shall borrow of thee turn not thou away. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love, in honour preferring one another.

  1. What shall we say about the crises prone children? What shall we say about the self pity, self judgments, inferiority complex, lost of hope, shyness, discouragement, sadness, isolation, bitterness, anxiety and incapacitation that crowded and surrounded the lives, faith and  feelings of the children born as blind or born with blindness, born with deformations, born without fingers or toes, born as deafs or dumbs, the lame and  crippled children who inherited such from the womb? The feelings, lives and activities of these children are full of anger, bitterness, regrets, sorrows and at times with suicidal policies. What shall we do about these children, especially those who are up to eight (8) years or above that age whose feelings and lives are full of all negative and dangerous decisions. Shall we allow them to die, suffer or to continue in their contrary and negative feelings? What did God say about them and the duties of the good people of God about them also. Matt. 19:21, Mk. 10:21, Lk.

And Jesus said unto him, if thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor and thou shalt have treasure in heaven and come and follow me. Col. 3:23, 24, And for whatever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord and not as unto men, knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance for ye serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

CHILDREN EDUCATION IN COMPASSIONATE WOMEN ORPHANAGE CENTRE (COWOM).

Education, Discipline and Training of the children, the orphans, abandoned children, motherless children, fatherless infants disabled children and education of children with sad stories of life are among the visions, missions, mandates and the concerns of Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre. Apart from feeding, housing, caring and protecting the orphans, abandoned children and other children with sad stories of life, Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre has other methods, means and different systems to train, educate and to groom the children in its orphanage home with deepest aim of making them reasonable, sensible, capable and to be the best of their types and to fully become the person God created them to become.

Below are other godly systems, methods and means to build, equip, train and to educate the children in Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre. Here are such approved systems of Christian education in Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre for children.

  1. Bible Education:

Bible Education in this sense and in ecclesiastical view is to teach children all about Bible stories, Bible events, Bible Heros and Bible teachings and helping them to understand and to believe the Bible as the WORD OF GOD and to teach them the main character of the entire Bible, who is JESUS and what HE CAME INTO THE WORLD FOR. The foundation of the Bible education for the children is to help them to believe and to have the primary faith in Jesus Christ the son of God who died at Calvary, buried and resurrected after three days, whose blood was shed for the atonement of our sins.

  1. Christian Education:

Here Christian education means the hope faith, practice and rituals of the Christian world! Why do Christians baptize the converts? Why do Christians eat the Lord’s supper (Holy Communion)?  Why do the Christians worship on Sundays? What is Easter Sunday, Good Friday and Christmas? Why do the Christians pray in Jesus name? What is the Bible and who wrote it? Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre has it as divine mandate and unshiftable obligation to educate the children on the total Christian conduct which they shall not depart from, when they grow old. Christian is a wide range of education aiming at making the children to fully become Christian believers in Jesus Christ our Lord. The above idea is our target in Christian education.

  1. Spiritual Education

This education has to do with repentance, faith, forgiveness of God, Salvation of God, Childhood of the saved believer, regeneration (new birth), Peace with God, Peace with men, divine adoption and divine justification. It is spiritual education that also unveils the doctrines of heaven and hell fire, doctrines of  demons and evil spirits, the rapture, life after death and the second coming of Christ. The children shall be taught and thoroughly be educated on spiritual matters that shall build their faith in Christ Jesus. The spiritual education for the children teaches them the dangers of sins and the benefits of righteousness and helps them to understand the necessity of confession of sins. This level of education is bible based and life changing.

  1. Public and Secular Education.

In public and secular education, we mean where the  children shall learn A, B, C, D or 1, 2, 3, 4. It is where the children shall learn words and figures, alphabets and  numbers and interact with other children from different areas and from different families and listen to different teachers and different leaders for the betterment of the children. The secular or public schools Nursery school, Primary and secondary school. This idea is the vision of Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre to build the children and to make them be secularly and publicly sound, great and bold to the glory of God. The children through this school and this system of education shall learn how to read and how to write also.

  1. Domestic Education.

The domestic education among the orphans, motherless children and among the abandoned children is the system where these children shall be taught and truly trained on how to cook, how to sweep, how to wash their clothes, how to wash plates, cubs and puts and how to really manage homes, manage kitchens and manage self, such as the parents can teach their children to know and to understand other domestic businesses at homes. This type of education is the beginning of African child and the birth of usefulness in the African child. This is among the visions and targets of Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre for the children in its orphanage home.

  1. Social Education.

Social Education is an indoctrination of children to make them be sociable, friendly, associable, communicable and to involve them in the community of men, community of peer groups and community of other people. It is the system or method that make the children to belong and to assure them of the love and acceptance of others. It is an education that assures the children that they are free, good, loved and  are accepted by others and help them also to join other groups and other arms in the churches, communities or in the society. This system of education is a tool to  loose the children from the chains of fear, shyness, inferiority complex and from self isolation and fear of men and women. This is the system to help the children belong to the society and have ideas of the social happenings also.

  1. Health Education.

This system of education may be different from the secular idea of health education. This system of education is to help the children to understand that God is our healer, that Jesus died for our healing, that both prayers and medicines are God’s instruments of healing and deliverance from sickness. This system of education also help the children to understand and report the symptoms of malaria, fever, headache and how to report such to orphanage authority for medical treatment, for preparation to reach the hospital for doctors consultation, for prayers and for first aid approach. The Health education in Cowom include thorough teaching on neatness, cleanliness, environmental sanitation, both neatness of proper washing of hands, teeth, plates and other things that can prevent germs into persons body. This is also a deep education on hygiene or cleanliness that can motivate good health and fight minor sickness and diseases around the children in the orphanage home.

  1. Ecclesiastical Education.

Ecclesiastical education is the teachings and indoctrinations to the orphans, abandoned children, motherless and fatherless children and other children with sad life stories in order to become Christians, choose church of their own membership, belong to specific church denomination and always taking to church services and to see the church as the body of Christ, home for the weak, a place of worship and a place of prayers and comfort. This is the means through which Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre directs the  children to understand and accept the Christian faith and  confession and be saturated with church influence, church ideas, church confession and with the church spiritual systems, standards and methods. These therefore call for church membership and the necessity of being church members as the children begin to grow to their adulthood in the society.

  1. Moral Education.

The Moral Education in Cowom administration is thorough teachings and guidelines on moral life, good behaviour and hatred to sin and to misbehaviours. It is educational system that emphasizes on spirituality, moral standards, good behaviours, clean life, righteousness, hatred to unclean life activities. Moral education brings the children to have faith, behave well and be possessed with good characters and sound reasoning as they grow.

  1. Skill Education.

This is also called and known as skill development that deals with the children’s potential development and means to help them be more useful in the society. This is a system that trains the children in one good skill or the other, such as tailoring (sewing), automobile mechanic, electrical and electronics repairs, painting, Building engineering, Metal construction, artistic drawing, graphic business and  other skills that the children may desire as their best choice in life. This is properly known as the skill acquisition education or skill acquisition department of the Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre. 1. Talent Education.

Talent Education is quite different from skill acquisition and different from skill education as was discussed above. Talent education is more of spiritual hidden and undiscovered in man, thus talent education is to discover, excavate and  uproot the hidden talent in a child and seek the possible means to upgrade it and to use it. Talent Education is to bring out the children natural talents and what God created each child to become through such talent which our orphanage home shall help to make it manifest or to be real in order to bless others in future as the children grow. These talents can be power to become judges, lawyers, engineers, teachers, soldiers, technicians, traders, administrators, leaders, managers, counselors, Planners, peace makers and  other hidden talents in the children and seek for the possible means to help the children acquire such hidden talents in their lives. These hidden talents were what God saw in Moses, in Joshua, in David and in other Bible heroes before HE chose them and make such talents benefited others. Children in Cowom are often examined to know their talents in order to seek ways to help them develop such talents as well.

  1. Psychological Education

The psychological Education to children in this sense is not to teach psychology to children but a different issue all together. Psychological education in this sense is to teach the children on how to take care of their fears, control their anger, their emotions and shall be guided on how to conquer their inferiority complex, defeat their shyness and their self made slavery. The psychological education is a means through which the children are helped to understand that they are good citizens, that they are not cursed, not slaves, not inferior and not rejected by God, nor by men, but are also respected and honoured by people and loved by God and to assure them that God shall take care of their needs, this therefore brings joy and freedom to the children in our orphanage home.

Each of the children like other children speaks or emphasizes on what she or he shall like to be in future. Some say “I shall be doctor, a nurse, a teacher, a lawyer, engineer, electrician, business man, business woman, administrator etc. This idea is built in the heart and spirit of every child under the sun even those in the orphanage homes, thus, we plan ways to make their dreams actualized and also be materialized through our special training to them and to train such dreams to grow with them in order to actualize all and become whom God created them to become and to achieve.

That is the reason we pay more attention to them and to make sure they become whom God created them to become and to achieve all that God destined them to become and to achieve all that God destined them to possess and to reach, thus, these and others become our specific philosophy of education.

  1. The Anthropology of Education.

The Anthropology of Education in the classes of these little children on our orphanage simply refers to the  home and domestic teaching to the children on how to survive in our various communities. It is an introduction and education to the orphans and the abandoned children on how our people survive and what our people do to survive, our people’s means of survival, the trading system, farming system, fishing system, business system, character, behaviour and our people’s method of reasoning. All these shall be planted on the children in our orphanage home with sense of making them to become good citizens and self dependable citizens as they grow. This type of education shall make the children to hate all forms of stealing, covetousness, envy, idleness, laziness, cheating and all forms of avarice in their lives as they grow to adulthood and face real life.

  1. African Traditional Education.

African Traditional Education is a necessity to the African child, especially African child of nowadays and those of the current society. African Education is a system or condition where and when African thoughts, tradition, cultures and total philosophy are taught to the children in the orphanage centre and the purpose of such teaching is to make the African child to have the sense of belonging and to understand where he came from and who really he is.

  1. Character Education.

Character Education in our Compassionate Orphanage home is very essential and demands steady attention of all the children. It is a lesson of hope and motivation to the orphans, abandoned children, fatherless and motherless children and strong faith to other children with sad life stories. The character studies, otherwise known as Character education has to do with the life characters and roles of the Bible heroes who in one way or the other faced what these children are facing today. These heroes include these listed below:-

  1. Joseph   -        A rejected boy who was sold as a slave who later become a ruler and leader.
  2. Moses    -        A son picked up at the river side and was adopted by Pharaoh’s daughter who later became the ruler, first prophet and the first law giver of Israel.
  3. Samuel  -        A baby dropped and dedicated at the Altar who later become a judge, ruler and notable seer in Israel.
  4. David     -        A son who was not regarded and not counted as strong son by his father and others who later became the best king in Israel.
  5. Esther    -        An orphan who never knew her parents but brought up by her uncle who later became a powerful queen whose activities and performances cannot be forgotten in life.

JESUS REGARD AND DEFINITE INVITATION TO CHILDREN

Matt. 19:13, 14, 15. And there were brought unto Him, the little children, that He should put His hand on them and pray, but His disciples rebuked them, but Jesus said, suffer the little children and forbid them not to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven, And He laid His hand on them and prayed for them.

Lk. 18:15, 16, 17. And they brought unto Him infants, tht He would touch them, but when His disciples saw it, they rebuked them, but Jesus called them unto Him and said, suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kibgdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever that cannot receive the kingdom of God as the little children shall in no wise enter therein.

Jesus has great regard for the little children and place them as His first priority in His ministry and in His primary blessing to families and in the society at large. Jesus in His earthly ministry frequently blessed the little children and often invited them to come to Him. Jesus is presently inviting the little children and still need them for fatherly blessings and fatherly touching. Jesus steady request were “Bring the children to me and forbid them not to come to me Matt. 19:13-15, Lk. 18:15-17. The question comes, who shall bring these children to God and how shall these children met Christ who need them? This is where the Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre plays a key role in bringing the children to Christ, for His salvation, protection and for His blessings. There is greater need now to help, care, protect and to train these little helpless children in our society who have no parents, no helpers and no sponsors, who can become leaders, officers, managers and good citizen in our country if they are cared for and helped also.

Watch in our streets, major roads, junctions and at times around market places, where the  children of the destitute, poor citizens and the children of mad men and mad women roam about, begging and also stealing with higher profile of criminal activities because no one cares to train them.

Watch out to see the increase of stealing, increase of crimes, increase of destructions and increase of lawlessness in our society due to the activities of these parentless and uncultured children of the mad mothers and those of the harlots that were abandoned who became great criminals due to the absence of the caring parents and the absence of mentorship.  You can see the great increase of motor accidents, destruction, fighting and other murderous activities in our society caused by uncultured, untrained, unparented and unmentored people who saw themselves in urban cities without any trace of origin or any identity of citizenship. These are the criminals that disturb our land nowadays due to the negligence of good citizen to their future in the days of their infancy.

Today there is great increase of stealing, touting, drunkenness, lawlessness, murderous activities, immoralities, disobedient to God. to elders and disobedient to the government authorities by these uncultured and  unparented children who have filled our society and causing different types of problems, troubles, crises and  other dangerous activities in our society due to lack of  true guide and no leader, no father, no mother and no care taker or counselor to their lives and souls.

Our society is greatly affected by the activities of roughians, criminals and destroyers of lives due to their great in-taking of hard drugs, alcoholic drugs and  other dangerous beverages which presently produced killings, motor accidents, armed robbery, kidnapping and other harmful activities due to lack of training, lack of parental guide, lack of home culture, lack of education and lack of domestic impartation by good spirited individuals around them or lack of proper indoctrination by the church or any charitable organization around. These children who are wandering and roaming our cities shall tomorrow become the wild criminals that shall disturb our people if nobody cares.

We have seen and recorded different crimes, murderous activities, fire outbreak in the markets and in commercial buildings, destruction of properties, killing of innocent citizens, public hostility, armed robbery, rough activities in our society that were done by unknown and by unnoticed individuals, still not done by spirits but by human beings, who are those? These evil acts are the handworks of criminals, majorly the children of mad ladies, abandoned children, unparented and undomesticated elements who were not sheltered and cultured at their infant ages who later become criminals without any home address nor any means of contacts, hence most of them are living and hiding in the bushes, forests, uncompleted buildings, under flyovers, inside abandoned houses, in open shades and inside a hidden environment. These people became criminals because nobody cared for them, nor trained them neither was  attention given to their infant years, thus they grew to become criminals in our society, thus we call for the rescue of the children that shall tomorrow become good citizens and shall become useful to the society and to the government. Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre is calling all to support in order to make the orphanage children useful.

These children that are roaming and wandering in our major cities today can be great, useful and sensible if cared for, protected, catered for, trained, helped, housed and be domesticated. There are great potentials among these children to become the future professors, pastors, lawyers, engineers, managers, leaders, directors and other important citizens if they are fully trained and be highly or properly domesticated in the system that shall make them become reasonable and useful to themselves, to the society, to the government and to our nation at large. The hope to make such children better is still high, therefore we call on all spirited and good individuals to work and  to love these children and  to contribute in making them useful and sensible. We also call on government authorities to create lively programs that shall affect the lives and fate of these children positively. We see the sufferings of these children and what they shall become if they shall be cared for, helped, trained, groomed and properly domesticated to the glory of our Lord.

Jesus is still calling and loving these children to come to Him and to be blessed by Him, therefore bring these children to Jesus by directing them to the appropriate quarters or to the government approved centre for their protection, safety, feeding and for their proper domestication – God bless you. The extreme pursuit of the Compassionate Women Orphanage Centre is to make the unfortunate children to become useful and reasonable.
